Leviev Bracelet helps Tinder Swindler Victims
(IDEX Online) – Three victims of Tinder Swindler Shimon Hayut are to recoup their financial losses through sales of a specially created Stronger Together bracelet.
The $169 piece is being launched by Leviev Diamonds. Hayut, 31, from Israel, legally changed his name to Simon Leviev and falsely claimed to be CEO of the company.
The Netflix documentary The Tinder Swindler, released in February, tells how he seduced numerous women over the Tinder dating app with his jet set lifestyle, then persuaded them to hand over money with claims that his life was being threatened.
Three victims who appeared in the documentary – Cecilie Fjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm, and Ayleen Charlotte – played a role in designing the bracelet, which features two interlocking golden rings and two natural diamonds (sterling silver 18K gold vermeil, total weight 0.14-ct).
“Being able to come together and show that we are strong and powerful women through the collaboration has been amazing,” they said.
“We want to thank the real Leviev Diamond family, and specifically Chagit (CEO Chagit Leviev) for bringing us all together and bringing closure to this nightmare.”
Chagit Leviev said: “These women were courageous enough to go on Netflix and tell the whole world how they were deceived. I felt their pain as a woman, and I wanted to reach out to them to offer our support to do something together.”
Ninety per cent of the profits from the bracelets go directly to the women, and the remainder to a charity on their behalf.
